About Jenn

I live life one pair of running shoes at a time. When I'm not coaching runners, I'm either training for another ultra, running after my 11-year old son and 6-year old twin daughters, or cheering on my husband as he participates in a local race. We moved here to the San Diego area from the DC area back in 2011 though I'm originally from New York. You can take the girl out of New York, but never the New York out of the girl :)

I started writing this blog way back in 2009. It's been through several evolutions but I think this one will stick around for a while :) I mainly blog about running and healthy eating and though it's the blog for my coaching/wellness company, Sole Health and Wellness, I like to include my personal experiences with training, racing, life with twins + 1, etc. I am mainly a marathon+ runner: I have done 19 marathons, 10 50Ks, 3 50-milers and 1 100K. I am always training for something and I treat most of my races as training runs. I just like to have fun out there and experience everything the race has to offer!

Professionally, I'm a health education specialist with a Masters in Public Health, though my version of public health is helping people one-on-one. I started coaching runners in 2007 when I was working for Fleet Feet Sports in Gaithersburg, MD. It's been so rewarding to help others achieve their goals. In addition to being an RRCA-certified running coach, I am also an NASN-licensed sports nutritionist and NASM-certified personal trainer. I find true joy in helping others reach their health and fitness goals. It's such an honor and privilege to be a part of something so personal and special. If you're interested in learning more about me and my company, Sole Health and Wellness, check out the website!

If you're interested in working with me or just have a question, feel free to get in touch! I work with clients all over the country. Anyone, anywhere, can benefit from having their own personal coach and cheerleader helping them live a longer, happier life. Contact me at jenn@solehealthandwellness.com.

  2. Hi Jenn,
I am in the hop and find that a lot of our fellow blogger are dealing with injury, as a sports nutritionist do you have any suggestions of foods for combating inflammation?
    Thanks
